The Eliseevskiy store is a Moscow institution. It has been in operation since 1890 and was recently renovated to restore it to its past glories. The Empire-style interior is stunning - more reminiscent of a palace than a grocery store. There are large mirrors, gold moldings on the ceiling, crystal chandeliers, and mahogany furnishings

so, in short, it is like les galéries lafayette, but for food? you wrote of a grocery store..
